Scenes from Hawaii

Photos by AP Images / Getty Images

The Obamas celebrated the holiday by attending a Christmas service at the Kaneohe Bay Chapel on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, followed by a visit with military families at Anderson Hall.

On the Mrs. O fashion front: a Sophie Theallet dress and Comme des Garcons skirt.

Michelle wore the sundress when she and Pres. Obama visited Ghana in 2009. She wore it to the bilateral meeting breakfast and for their visit to La Hospital.

Ho-la! Malia is giving her Mom stiff competition here! Gorgeous.

They all look oh so relaxed and easy breezy!! I saw young Sasha's dress on another site, wish it was included here. (I know that we really shouldn't focus on the girls, but they are so incredibly adorable - and well-dressed - it's very hard not to comment.)

I love how they are coordinated, yet not all 'matchy-matchy'. Here is a quick 50 sec. video of the First Family going to church.

For a moment I thought that Malia was Mrs. Obama. Love her white dress and the silver flats.

Wow! I thought Malia was MObama there for a min.

The white dresses look so crisp and weather-appropriate. On another note, Mrs. T., do you know who designed the beautiful black print dress that Mrs. O. wore while being interviewed (with her husband) on the Barbara Walters special last Friday? I love it!

Such a lovely picture. I hope that our First Family has an enjoyable and funfilled vacation.
@ Christen, I was wondering the same thing. That print reminds me of a print on a Moschino handbag. Did you notice the dark green Mary Janes that our Michelle had on? I think this might be the start of something new for 2012. We'll see!

Malia is simply gorgeous. What a great combo of her parents. I love her metallic doll-like flats.

Malia is a very pretty young lady but I would never confuse her with her mother. Also, why does Mrs. Obama continually wear her hair pulled back in such a tight bun? She seems to do it a lot when out of town but when she is back in Washington she reverts back to all of her many other interesting styles. I for one do not think the continued and very severe bun look is attractive as it brings more prominence to her high forehead and chin...perhaps her stylist needs to get in a few words of advice.
