A Holiday Frock

For those who missed it (including me!): Mrs. O was interviewed by Jenna Bush Hager for a Today Show segment mid-last week. For the occasion, Mrs. O wore a Barbara Tfank pink, rose and green floral silk jacquard box pleated, funnel neck dress from the designer's Fall 2009 collection. Mrs. O previously wore this dress to the Wounded Warrior Solider Ride at the White House in April 2010, here.

I have been checking this Mrs. O website since it started!!! I love to see what our First Lady is wearing! Her style rivals that of Jackie Kennedy and I love how she dresses as our President's wife too.I am proud of our First Lady. She is caring, smart, and a great mother. Thank you for keeping us updated on her fashion. I really enjoy your efforts and hard work!!

I like the shorter hair style she was wearing in April 2010

Absolutely lovely first lady and former first daughter. Love the florals also.

I remember seeing tis on television as well as The Huffington Post. I think they called it" The FLOTUS Floral Face-off" or something to that nature.
I like both the dresses that both ladies wore. Jenna Bush had just announced on the Today Show that she was pregnant when this segment aired and she said later on that she wore this dress to camouflage her belly.
Anyway, it's a beautiful dress that our very own "hostess-in-cheif" is wearing. The colors are vibrant and we know how our Michelle loves color!

Mrs. T, do you have any information on the dress Mrs. O wore during the interview with Barbara Walters on Nightline (with her husband),aired this week? I think it was deep green and reminded me of a dress (the bottom) she wore in blue once. Thank you!

Beautiful dress by Barbara Tfank, and Mrs. O wears it well as usual. I think Mrs. O's hair always looks good and well-groomed, whatever the length, whatever the style. FLOTUS seems a bit tired in this interview, probably with all her hostessing during the holidays in addition to other stresses re crises confronting the President and our country. Hopefully, Mrs. O and the First Family were able to unwind and enjoy their Christmas in Hawaii, and to refresh themselves for the continuing whirlwind of life in the White House.

Addendum:
I am re-posting here a comment I previously posted in the Mrs-O.com Chat section where it seems few people frequent. I thought it was worthy of notice and relevant as this year ends and a new one begins. Best wishes to all!

I saw this special publication by Essence magazine editors, "A Salute to Michelle Obama," on the newstand at a local drugstore. Gorgeous cover picture, and very lovely pictures inside (a compendium of wonderful and memorable photos from the last four White House years), with thoughtful tributes from everyday people, as well as celebrities and notable women in their own right such as Maya Angelou, Lynn Whitfield, Mary J. Blige, and Viola Davis (many of the quotes from everyday women likely are from Essence readers). Here are three of my favorite comments:

"She makes us all feel as if we are part of the family." M. White, PA

"I salute Michelle Obama. She is a Woman Officer of Excellence who is a No Drama Kind of Mama." Kay N., Atlanta

"What I admire most about Michelle Obama is how her light from within shines through victory and adversity, and is maintained at all times!" Tiffany T., Tuscaloosa, AL

"I love Michelle Obama because she never meets a stranger... Everyone is welcomed with open arms. That takes a huge emotional capacity and a big heart." Eleanor B., Los Angeles
