Lovely in Laura Smalls

The First Lady spoke to U.S. mayors about her initiative "Let's Move! Cities, Towns and Counties" in an event held at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on Wednesday. For the appearance, Mrs. O wore a Laura Smalls dress, previously seen at the Democratic National Convention in September 2012, here. Black patent pumps completed the look.

Mrs O looks lovely. I love the bold prints that she has worn over the past 4.5 years. I also think she has influenced (often uncredited) what we are now seeing in men and women's clothing-colors and bold prints. I still think it's time to shop so we can see a bit more "firsts". :-)

Loved it then, love it now!
And by sheer coincidence, I spotted this version of that other killer dress from the 2012 DNC: http://www.amazon.com/Tracy-Reese-Womens-Michelle-Dress/dp/B00A0JG4M4/ref=lp_6411506011_1_41?ie=UTF8&qid=1373674166&sr=1-41 If only it would look as good on me as it does on MO.....

This dress provokes me to the sin of covetousness. I want one!

Love, Love! Her hair looks so pretty, too! I thought I remembered last seeing this dress, and I did correctly. So pretty on her!

The off-the-shoulder sleeves are very attractive and give good balance to the full skirt. While not fond of full skirts on Mrs. O, here it works fine due to the proportion. The print is lively without being too splashy. The black shoes are perfect as they are subtle, let's you notice the dress first.

I love the color, pattern and style of this dress, just beautiful.

Love almost everything about Mrs. O and agree this dress is wonderful on her. Not sure about the choice of off-the-shoulder at a business event, though; doesn't seem appropriate to me.

I agree THC. She is always put together well but how many times can we say "oooh and aaaah" over the same outfits. LOL! I know she is in a bind because the economy is struggling and she doesnt want to spend lavishly on clothes when some people still dont have work, homes, insurance, etc... Its nice that she repeats for that reason.

I agree with Chris that the off-the-shoulder sleeves really work very well with this dress. Much better than the completely sleeveless.
One of my favorite dresses, I absolutely love this one!

CCHHAARRLLEENNEE, not shouting, just typing as I see your signature.
Your point is well-taken. I am happy to "oooh and aaah" every time I see her no matter what she is wearing. :-)

Yes, in these tough economic times it is good to see Mrs O's sensitivity to others struggles and repeat her Jason Wu's, Michael Kors, Carolina Herrera's, Rachel Roy's and Naeem Khans just to name a few.

Such a flattering look for Mrs. O. The color of the dress is perfect.
