A Fond Farewell

Dear Readers,

After much thought and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to end the Mrs. O blog. Over the past year, my personal and professional circumstances have changed such that I cannot devote the same time and attention to the blog that I once could. I continue to have the utmost admiration for Mrs. Obama - for her style and so much more.

From an idea sparked by Michelle Obama's presence at the 2008 Democratic National Convention, we grew into a vibrant, diverse community with a common interest. The information sharing and exchange of opinions over the past 5-1/2 years has been fun, inspiring, sometimes a bit controversial - but always in the spirit of good, open dialogue. Thank you all for your support and readership over the years.

Wishing you the very best,

Mrs. T

I am sad to see the updates go, but know that this blog is appreciated for pushing into my days with something not so serious. Best of luck!

I will miss you! Your enthusiasm for fashion, style and appreciation for genuine LADIES has been a delight to share and admire. This has been one of my favorite bookmarks, especially when I'm tired of the flashy trash so often paraded in the media. It's a reminder that sophistication, poise, pride and "playing the part" will always stand the test of time. Please let us all know where you land, as we will likely follow you...
Best Wishes and Joy!

Mrs T thank you for the opportunity to take this journey with you. Michelle Obama has made a lasting impact on us all. Through this Blog, I have expanded my whole outlook on fashion, politics and the power of women no matter who we are or what we do. The controversy was in a small way encouraging and i was happy to see women express their opinions. I have used these fashion tips to enhance my own wardrobe and make my own statement using fashion. I think that has influenced many of my female colleagues. I wish you well in your new endeavors.

I have truly enjoyed this site over the past five years and I'm sad to see it go. You recognized early on that Mrs. O was not just a fashion inspiration but also a cultural icon whose ability to mix high-priced couture with inexpensive pieces from mass retailers is a true gift. Her style and grace gives us all something to aspire to. Thanks so much for your work, time and effort on this site.

This blog will definitely be a great loss.
Thank you for taking the time to devote a blog "dedicated to chronicling the fashion and style of First Lady Michelle Obama."

Will there be any chance of having perhaps a 90-day "round-up" of the "fashion and style" of our wonderful First Lady? :0)

I am so sorry to hear this sad news ;-( As a french reader, I took a lot of pleasure to learn a lot about this incredible and self assured woman through her clothes and more. And also, of course, to make comparisons between her and the other first ladies (no doubt she usually used to be the best in most circumstances). Thank U for the great job you did and good luck to you, dear Mrs T.
