A Fond Farewell
Dear Readers,
After much thought and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to end the Mrs. O blog. Over the past year, my personal and professional circumstances have changed such that I cannot devote the same time and attention to the blog that I once could. I continue to have the utmost admiration for Mrs. Obama - for her style and so much more.
From an idea sparked by Michelle Obama's presence at the 2008 Democratic National Convention, we grew into a vibrant, diverse community with a common interest. The information sharing and exchange of opinions over the past 5-1/2 years has been fun, inspiring, sometimes a bit controversial - but always in the spirit of good, open dialogue. Thank you all for your support and readership over the years.
Wishing you the very best,
Mrs. T

I wish someone could take it over for you. I am a young woman who has been following since day 1. So sorry to see it end.
I had to make one last comment, quoting the Grio
"A survey of academics has found that Eleanor Roosevelt was America’s best first lady. Michelle Obama ranks fifth."
The findings from the Siena College/C-SPAN poll were released Saturday.

Charlene in Detroit, I am sorry for your loss. If my mother had lived to see this moment she would have been so proud of the First Lady, she would have adored her!
Dear Mrs. T,
Thank you for a thoughtful and beautiful blog. I will miss this site. Wishing you the best.
So sad to see you go. I was never a daily reader, but it was lovely to come here every now and then and see what the first lady was wearing. A wonderful woman with a wonderful style - and you did such a wonderful job communicating this. I do hope that you will return, or entrust your site to someone who shares your vision and professionalism.
Good luck! I'll miss you.

I have to add my voice to the chorus of thank yous. Thanks so much for all the hard work and love that so clearly went into the making of this blog. I've been reading it since my undergrad days and am now embarking on the early stages of my career, and have been as inspired by the fashions of our First Lady as the community of this wonderful site. Thanks again and good luck in your future endeavors!
Thanks for your great website. Sad to see you go. Your website was my inspiration for me starting my own site. Thanks !!
very sad that you are ending this blog. I read you from Germany!
Thanks for your work!
Mrs T please come back. The Essence page is stylized but does not have the warmth and knowledge you brought to this blog.
After her homework was completed, my 12-year old daughter and I loved to "indulge" in the Mrs. O blog. We are both so sad to see it end. As a mother of a girl, I feel fortunate to have such a classy and intelligent first lady to be a role model for all girls of our nation. Your blog helped us to enjoy that good fortune. Thank you for all the time and commitment you gave us followers. We wish you the very best.
Mrs. T: I'm sorry to hear you will shutdown your blog. I wish you all the best & hope that all goes well for you. Thank you for your wonderful blog. I will miss your posts.
Thank you. Best wishes from Brazil.
I'm standing and applauding your efforts in having created a wonderful space that documents not just Mrs. Obama's look but her journey as well. I wish the blog would have continued through the end of the president's second term. Still, I am grateful for your energy and efforts for 5 1/2 years. This record is certainly a part of your legacy. Congratulations and best wishes in your future endeavors!
I've loved the blog over the years, thank you. Mrs. O continues to inspire me sartorially, politically, professionally and personally, and your blog has added to the pleasure of observing her and learning from her. All the best in your new pursuits - you'll succeed at whatever you try next.
So sorry to see your very well done blog go. I thought it was a BRILLIANT idea and have followed it for years. You and the blog will be missed. I hope you will reconsider your decision.
Thank you so much for all your hard work. As we are now sisters in fashion I hope you keep us updated on your future projects! All the best on what will certainly be a bright future.
You will be missed. I really enjoyed keeping up with the style of the First Lady, Mrs. T.
Good Luck to you...
Thank you for your contribution! I absolutely loved this site and wish I were to continue. I understand you have to do what is best for you, but we will miss you!!!!!! Overall, this site was classy, informative and just all around fun to read. Let us know if you begin another pursuit.
Mary,
We will all miss you. I know of few websites that were so interactive and fun to visit. We at CaroleTanenbaum Vintage Collection wish you all the best in whatever you do.
I will miss this blog! Thanks for sharing your talents.
Dear Mrs T.,
Please come back! We desperately need you. Nobody covers our lovely First Lady as sartorially, beautifully, respectfully and attentively as you do. There's such a gaping hole since you've been gone. Make it weekly, even a monthly round-up, just please come back? Please?
Hi, Mrs.T, I just came for a visit after following your blog for the past 4 years or so and found out. I would come to this blog occasionally as a treat when I felt tired or after a long day at work for an uplifting experience. I wish you all the best.
I keep coming back to this blog hoping against hope that you changed your mind and restarted it Mrs T. I completely agree with Abigail, nobody covers Mrs Obama quite as fantastically as you do. You set the standard, and now nothing can ever come close. There's such a sad gap in the coverage these days; And where you'd always do a post about Mrs Obama at an event, now there's hardly anything. And when we do stumble upon something, we have no idea who she's wearing, or what might have inspired her choice of outfit or accessories. You Mrs T are sorely missed; By all of us - and even by the mainstream media which relied heavily on this blog, linking to it in every story about Mrs Obama. I suspect Mrs Obama misses you too - you probably helped inspire many of her picks. We also miss getting to know Mrs Obama's designers, and even buying some of their creations. This English transplant who adores America's wonderful First Lady, implore you to find your way back to this important effort you've begun. We need your impeccable talent to see this all the way through: To document for posterity, this marvelous woman. Quite simply, nobody else but you will do Mrs T.
Hello Love!
I came across your blog quite by accident and have really enjoyed going thought it. The level of committment you have put to it reallly shines through. As someone from England, we know much less about Mrs. O than you do, however, I have been shocked by some of the unfairly ( and to my mind) never before seen vitriol levelelled at a FLOTUS.
I looked at this site merely for fashion tips, I was looking to update my work wardrobe and looked to Michelle for inspiration. I certainly found that by coming to your site. Mrs O has not sufferred the warddrobe malfunctions that have beset others in the public eye, due to her understanding of what modern, classy and professional looks like. Thanks again for the time you've spent on this. I certainly have ideas to speak to my tailor about.
Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours, and thanks for your positve outlook. Miss J
