Peter Pilotto Print

The first lady kicked off a West Coast tour today, speaking in Bellevue, Washington at a fundraising luncheon to support Senator Patty Murray. For the appearance, Mrs. O wore a printed blouse by Peter Pilotto, from the designer's Fall 2009 collection.

It is a full week for the first lady. Tomorrow Mrs. O is scheduled to speak at The Women's Conference, hosted by Maria Shriver, and on Thursday, will appear on the Ellen Show. Stay tuned!

I thought this website was supposed to be about clothes, not politics.

She is such an amazing force! She looks beautiful and really connects with her audience with power, compassion and grace.

I just saw a clip of her on my local news here in San Francisco. She's in town with Dr. Biden for a fundraiser for Speaker Pelosi at the beautiful Fairmont Hotel. She looks stunning in a sleeveless draped metallic dress. I didn't get much of a good look at the details but she is once again very, very elegant and beautiful through and through.

Her speech for Patty Murray was sensational, and I love that she stays true to herself. No over the top clothing for campaigning, just love it. GO FLOTUS!!

That gold print is not a great look but the silver dress in S.F. looks great. Love it,

No first lady has worked as hard as Mrs. O. So much grace and style.

New photo from the San Francisco fundraiser on theobamadiary. Not a good look at the dress but - I agree with meta - it seems very elegant.

Such poise and beauty. I don't know why there is so much political immaturity out there-it's like kids whining "I want it now..." Well, as Mrs. O said, it doesn't come fast or easy. And I'm impressed with what's been done given the state of affairs when the President stepped in and the relentless, shabby, irrational opposition he's faced.

Part of me feels sheepish for posting a more overtly political commentary in what is a strictly sartorial venue. But seeing Mrs. O point it out in plain terms was terrific.

BTW-love the shirt...Mrs. O has a knack for finding colorful patterns and textures that somehow don't look 'busy' or overwhelming. It's a fine line and she knows how to walk it.

I had forgotten how awesome a speaker she is. God I loved the campaign last time. I don't think I watched anything Barack did (oops) I was just mesmerised by Michelle Obama. While I'm not keen on the colour of this I love the shape of this top and the unusual neckline - hadn't heard of Peter Pilotto either (*hangs head*) so now I have to go and surf him up!
