Blue Belle

President Obama and Mrs. O arrived for the presentation of the medal of honor for US Army Chaplain Emil J. Kapaun at the White House this past weekend. For the occasion, Mrs. O wore a Michael Kors Surf Stretch Boucle Crepe Sheath dress, previously seen here. Pearls and neutral pumps completed the look.

Sleek! This is a very well-designed sheath. It drapes comfortably, yet becomingly. The warm gold of the shoes and the pink lip color create a interesting spectrum of tones against the baby blue.

Fabulous dress ... great simple, elegant look. Michelle kills it time after time. Point of interest: The picture is titled "Blue Belle" both times she wore this dress!

Very pretty . . . love the flow of this dress. Like the length and how she dressed it with the shoes and pearls. Perfect!

I love Michelle Obama. She is such a positive role model for women/people far and wide...throughout this planet. However, I have a favour to ask of her.....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT lose any more weight.

Mrs. O makes this simple dress stunning by adding her pearls.
Cap sleeves are also more elegant than sleeveless for certain events IMO and her arms are even more graceful and feminine with this look.
Neckline showcases her beautiful face and hairstyle. Adding more of this sleeve style for her selection, would be a good idea.....will go day to evening beautifully. Great colour contrast with the President’s suit.
Bangs look great, when slightly parted to the side, softens her face and highlights her cheek bones.

That dress fits her like a glove. A lovely choice for the occasion.

Has anyone noticed that Mrs. O has been wearing pearls on a very consistent basis? Or is it just me? Either way, love this look.

Sigh. . . . , lovely.
Be sure to tune in to PBS for "Memphis Soul" tonight! Mrs. O will be rocking that one-shoulder black dress! OAN: The music will be great as well!

Protocol note: the ceremony should've been noted more appropriately as . . . "For the ceremony honoring Medal of Honor Recipient Father Emil Kapaun, the First Lady wore . . . "

Ms. T. - this doesn't need to be posted. I just wanted to know what you can tell me about Michelle's dress for the PBS special. She looked great. I also liked Queen Latifah's dress.

thanks.

Love the look. Michael Kors is always on point with chic classic styles that fits her to a tee. This is one of the places where the hard work and pain to tone the body and keep it fit pays off. She looks great in just about everything. Not sure I am feeling that color of shoes with the dress. I just think there was a better choice in her closet-metallic, green, black, etc....

This is a repeat that's worthy of repeating! The dress shows off her toned figure, the beads accentuates the neckline just right and the beige pumps keeps it fresh. I like how our Michelle mixes it up when she shops her closet.
Go FLOTUS!

I love the Spring Fling look to this outfit. The colors of the shoes and dress are perfect together.
