A Fresh Take on Red and Blue

The First Lady celebrated Independence Day wearing a Boy. by Band of Outsiders Degrade Toile de Joie Dress, previously seen here in June 2012. Red flats completed the look.

Both of them look great in this subtle combination of red, white & blue. Too often that can get cheesy.

Hello Dear. I read your blog on a regular basis from Paris (France) and I like it very much. Very well written and illustrated. About this dress, you should write : Toile de JOUY (and not "Joie"). Jouy is named from the small town : Jouy-en-Josas , not far from Paris. You even have a museum : http://www.museedelatoiledejouy.fr/. "Joie" in French means Happiness or Joy! Cheers. Colette.
