Mrs. O in Rachel Roy

The First Lady visited the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center while on a trip to Cincinnati on Thursday. On the fashion front, Mrs. O re-wore a Rachel Roy dropstitch lace cardigan and dress from the designer's Summer 2011 collection, first seen here.

Did you know that (by my count) Mrs. O wore Rachel Roy more than any other designer in 2011?

Love this look on Mrs O. She wears dresses that enhance her very feminie style. And the expression on her face bears witness to what it feels like to see and hear the story of our people in the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. If you have never been, it's worth the trip to Cincinnati.

Strange what different lighting can do: in the previous 2 photos of this outfit, the first looks black, the second looks like deep deep navy, and this one looks looks like a bright navy.

I agree with "babs" about the coloring of the Roy dress. Maybe Mrs. O bought three of the dresses in different colors!

Nice look for the occasion. I agree that Rachel Roy looks good on her. I have bought quite a few Rachel Roy dresees (on sale) and love the look and the fit. It is worth the investment.

Lynn Sweet in the Sun Times reported a luncheon fundraiser also in Cincinnati on Thursday. The pool report said she wore a black dress without sleeves. This one or another?

I was at the fundraiser, and she did wear a different dress. It was black and sleeveless and had a v-neck, and she looked amazing.

I met her and had my photo taken with her, and you can bet that I tried on several different dresses before making my decision, aware that I had to bring my "A" game. Of course, since I am 5' 3" she towered over me! She was so warm and gracious and gave me a hug and a few minutes of her time. I breathlessly await my photo that will arrive in the mail!

This is the first outfit by Rachel Roy that I'm not quite feeling. The ruffles at the bottom make the whole ensemble look untidy and busy

She looks AMAZING!!! As someone in Cincinnati, I am SO proud she was here. I know someone who went. Congratulations Mrs. G on the picture. I'm sure you'll treasure that forever. And now to hear that she was at the Freedom Center makes it even more special.
